I am writing this review from Phoenix Arizona. I found this company online while searching for a cover for my sail boat (yes you can sail in the middle of the desert, it’s awesome). They didn’t have the cover I was looking for, but they had some cool stuff that caught my eye. So I ordered a few things that they had for my boat. They made 2 backrests and a super comfy mattress for the deck. It was all shipped around the world to my house. I received it all in good order. I think this is a great company.
The price is good for the excellent craftsmanship. I recommend them wholeheartedly

Tecsew are consistently reliable in quality, workmanship and in their ability to know exactly what the customer wants. My Bimini arrived in Spain on time and with clear instructions. As you can see from the photos it fits perfectly. It is also robust and with it fully extended we sailed from Seville to Cadiz in F5 (20knot wind) and I could easily manage all sheets and winches. You advised me that it would not permit a full boom out of the main which is correct but we did not find this a problem.

I went to the boat yesterday and the new covers looked excellent.

Shikari, my Huntsman 28 is now safely moored up in Majorca, after an interesting trip and looks resplendent nicely protected by the overall cover and bimini that you supplied for her. Being a classic vessel it’s so much more challenging to design a bimini particularly that both does the job and looks the part. On our trip we experienced the schizophrenic nature of the Med firstly by enjoying the ‘sun factor 99’ the bimini afforded us on the first leg and then promptly the ‘spray shielding’ from a nasty chop later on. I can now get on with the task of sorting the ‘canvas’ on the Swan 36 and my two Revival Yachts with the confidence of dealing with the most professional and pleasant cover makers around

We just wanted to tell you that the covers for our Moody 31 fitted perfectly. We are so satisfied with both the sprayhood and the cockpit enclosure after having tried them out on a sailing trip for 8 days along the western coast of Sweden. We had nearly all sorts of weather (luckily no snow!), and we really enjoyed sitting safely and dry when sometimes it was raining cats and dogs.

We had no problems fitting the covers, but we had to make new holes all the way round. That was not a big job, and our "Lykle" looked nearly new with the new covers on.

The Cockpit enclosure fitted to my Moody 36 is a great success. It effectively lengthens the boat providing a "room in the cockpit" The fixtures and fittings are robust and the precision fitting ensures we can sail the boat in all conditions with it folded in the cockpit as we have done for hundreds of hours. Most yachtsmen do not realise this and think fitting a cockpit enclosure means constant removal and reassembly. The design is so effective that I have never needed another pair of hands in order to fold and erect the cover! All our winches can be operated and our cockpit enclosure unobtrusively remains permanently in the cockpit greatly increasing our sailing pleasure

I have just purchased a set of new covers and spray hood from Tecsew. When you are looking to the market for a new spray hood, look at high end soft top sports cars because this is the same top quality product you will receive from Tecsew. The spray hood fits like a car one. Completely taught at every point including the windows which are clear just like glass. All delivered and installed a week after ordering by a great friendly team. I looked at a number of companies, and covers on boats in the marina before ordering but Tecsew stand out by a long shot in my opinion in every way. The quality of the stitching, edging etc is absolutely perfect. Highly recommended

I would like to record my appreciation to yourself and team from Tecsew for producing and fitting the excellent cockpit enclosure for our Westerly Konsort Sweet Lil. The family has made full use of it from the first day, using it as a Bimini from the strong sun, a Windbreak after swimming, and then the children had great fun sleeping under it in the cockpit. I was very impressed to find the job completed so quickly and professionally and just 10 days after placement of my order. I have an enclosure on my 31 from Tecsew that has performed well since 2011. Stows away easily, used as Bimini shade for sun or rain. Have even sailed fine with the full enclosure up keeping us cozy and dry in bad weather. Wouldn't want to be without it. It's also great for keeping the midges at bay here in Scotland!

Today I finished the installation of Sprayhood and cockpit enclosure. Cutting and stitching excellent, excellent material excellent finish. We are very grateful for giving better value to my “Gabbianella”!

We are delighted with the conversion. It gives us an easy deployed Bimini for use in hot weather and also for use while sailing in rain. When moored up, we are able to deploy the enclosure which turns the cockpit area into cosy living space in foul or colder weather. There is no awkward extra steel-work to find a home for when the cockpit tent is stowed so all we have to find a home for is a few pieces of canvas. Dismantling it is a doddle. Putting it up takes a couple of tries to figure out the best order to do things in - but then it becomes easy. It takes us about 5 minutes to erect. The Velcro assistance on the side-panels helps and the bungee attachments around the base of the tent are easily deployed and removed from inside the tent. When erected, the whole thing looks like a 'proper job' blending nicely with the original design. With the Bimini up it has always taken a bit of ducking and weaving to get between the cockpit and the side deck. This is inevitable given the geometry and is quite manageable. The entrances to the tent from the side decks inherits the same slight difficulty. We anticipate that stern-to-mooring in the Med will make this even less of a problem. With hidsight, I would pay more attention to the tapes which secure the side and particularly rear panels when rolled up. These are fiddly to do up and not very secure. I would recommend toggles and loops - preferably with some bungee involved - for any future attempts

Ordered a Bimini and Bimini conversion for our Moody 45 Classic and we are absolutely delighted with the quality of the delivered covers and the excellent service we received from Ally, John and the team.

The Bimini with conversion has revolutionised our use of the cockpit, it is quick to fit the conversion and the added height gained by using a Bimini as the roof makes the space incredibly spacious and filled with light.

I wanted you to know how well our Tecsew Bimini and cockpit enclosure stood up to the winter storms. We wintered the boat in the water in the new marina in Roscoff, Brittany, where some of the storms blew through the marina with 60-70kn gusts… I had bravely left the cockpit enclosure, bimini and sprayhood on (but had brought the sails down) No problem! Some rain had come through the tiny hole on one side where the backstays come through (despite tying the purse strings tight++), and the central pole push up thing had wobbled loose and fallen down, but otherwise everything was perfect.
(and no bird poo on the top, as it had been too windy for anything to fly around!) Solar panel didn’t blow off (and provided some charge) Next month, weather permitting, we will be heading south across Biscay to the Spanish Rias, and eventually the Med, but already we are enjoying and benefiting from the excellent design and quality of the cover & bimini.
We have recommended you to various people we meet who ask about it.

We took the boat (AND CANOPY ) out this week end, they both performed beautifully and with the wet weather we were as dry as could be, even when sailing.

We LOVE the canvas work. Jen especially loves the conservatory – as I’m told many Brits call our Cockpit Enclosure. It makes for a whole extra big room on the boat. The heat from down below with the hatch opened warms up the enclosure quite well. The strategically placed grab rails and solidness of the build makes me feel like I can reach out anywhere round the cockpit whilst moving around.

I am just dropping you an email to say how pleased we are with the bimini conversion and sprayhood back that you supplied. John and Arnie did a great job, quickly and carefully and I would ask you to thank them for me as well. Bearing in mind that we have just suffered the coldest November for a very long time, we were sitting in the cockpit having dinner the night that it was fitted. We were very pleasantly surprised at the warmth and the ability to experience 'summer dining' in the depths of winter... It has made an incredible improvement to getting in and out of the boat and has provided another VERY BIG cabin which has made entertaining in the winter a real pleasure.

It has transformed our use of the yacht during the winter and has prompted a number of our 'neighbours' to consider getting their yachts done as well - expect a few phonecalls from Brighton!!!

We purchased a 2009 Southerly just recently. She looks her 15 years and needed a lift. We asked Tecsew to produce a new enclosure to zip on to the existing sprayhood. What a fantastic service! The enclosure (in glorious maroon) has 3 huge windows, zips beautifully on to the existing sprayhood and (best of all) folds into a small neat sausage up above our heads when not in use. Really a first class piece of work. Suddenly our boat, which arrived in the marina looking rather dowdy, is the Belle of the Marina - and it creates just a fantastic extra living/eating/relaxing space. Cannot recommend Tecsew more highly.

Just wanted to write and thank you for the great canopy you’ve designed and built for our Antares 9.80. You were very patient with our various requests and provided some useful improvements to our original design. Never having had a canopy on a boat before, I was a little apprehensive that it would make the cockpit feel a little dark and too enclosed. On the contrary, it’s given us a whole new room, that’s bright & airy with all the windows…a great new space for us!

I am truly amazed at the quality of this canopy, and full praise should be given to John, Ally and his crew for their professional service. I gave the brief (on site with the boat) to John, but his 3D measurements, and drawings were in-valuable to finalize the overall design. The 3D system was a huge bonus to make any “tweaks”, but because the design was SO good we did not make any changes. I believe Tecsew are the only Company to offer this service, and quite honestly I cannot see how anybody else could do such a good/accurate job without it! I have attached a few of the 3D drawings to compare to the final product.

I recently ordered some canvas drops for a garden shelter which we like to use all year round and is open on one side. I dealt with Leah Allen and could not of been happier with the service and the product. Leah is a credit to the company always polite and extremely helpful and efficient, always answering my queries quickly and leaving me extremely confident that my drops would be everything I hoped they would. Having guided me through the measurements they required and with photos I supplied of the openings the drops were manufactured and delivered very quickly. I am absolutely over the moon with them. Brilliant quality easy to fit. Excellent Thankyou.

You kindly made a Cockpit Enclosure for our SO37 and fitted it in early 2007, when we kept the boat at Hamble. At short notice you returned to the boat and made minor alterations and split the maintubes, so we could set of for the east coast. In the summer of 2007 I cleverly "chucked" the heavy stainless steel lower lugs for the frame into three metres of water and mud! What to do? I phoned Tecsew at 10am on a Tuesday and explained the problem. Tecsew took details of the measurements of the 2 tubes and attachments over the phone, did the necessary fabrication immediately, and despatched to our home address where the replacement parts were received on Thursday am.

I'm pleased with the new cockpit enclosure. It fits well, is better designed that the original and the workmanship seems sound.

The sprayhood looked great. It was lovely to find it fitted when we arrived for the Easter break!

We have been a Tecsew customer for many years. We were very surprised how fast they produced the original design and then our actual sprayhood and cockpit covers. We were very pleased to be able add our own aspect to the already successful design that you showed us from Lyra Mara by having windows in the section which joins the front of the bimini to the front of the spray hood. It makes the internal area lighter and will help with visibility if we ever leave it in when on the move. The bimini conversion has already made a big difference to our comfort and well-being.

I have purchased a winter cover, summer cover and various hatch and tiller covers for my classic yacht Lady of hamford. I have found the service from Tecsew to be first class and more importantly the back up cannot be faulted. Just to let you know how happy we are with our sprayhood. If I am honest I was a bit apprehensive having done everything by E,Mail, not having seen your product, and getting it shipped straight to Greece, but everything was perfect and the instructions easy to follow.

I would like to thank John and his team for arranging such a quick turn around on the new sprayhood for a New Élan Impression 434. I phoned John on Friday afternoon he measured it on Monday morning and returned the same afternoon with the completed hood and fitted it that day, a truly outstanding service.

Tecsew is a great team to deal with, and once agreed everything just dropped into place quickly and efficiently. If only everything I bought worked out this well then all the stress would go out of getting things done.

Our Tecsew Bimini and frame has travelled thousands of miles over 10 years. It has been an essential part of daily blue water cruising on our Jeanneau SO.54DS.

Our strong Tecsew frame supports the CAD contour-tailored Bimini canvas. The shape and extra side strengthening makes this Bimini fantastic quality, exceeding all expectations.

Unfortunately during an unforecast, freak 60+ knot storm, the 10 year old Bimini canvas ripped, the zips held.

Arriving at Xarifa on Saturday, we were delighted to discover that her new sprayhood and cockpit cover have now been fitted.

It all looks a very classy, high quality job and the extra space available at the back end of the cockpit is amazing – so John was right to push for the change compared to her original cover.

The burgundy is a good colour match with her burgundy colour bands and the linen on the inside looks very good. The stainless steel track system is very neat.

Your attention to detail throughout the whole process has been very impressive; we shall definitely be recommending Tecsew to our sailing acquaintances.

After looking long and hard at a number of cockpit tent makers we opted to go with Tecsew for a cockpit tent for our 346. We are absolutely delighted with the result. The tent design has been well thought through and is made with high quality fabric and fittings. With many experiences in the boating world we have found quality of service to be sadly lacking, so it was with some apprehension we ordered the tent. The service we received was truly excellent. An initial visit was done promptly and subsequent measuring and fitting completed within a fortnight. Not bad for late June!
