Employee Mention of the Month – March
This month, we are giving a special anniversary shout out to our Head Machinist Gail, who celebrates her 14 years anniversary at Tecsew next month!
14 years in a marriage is known as the elephant anniversary* (honest) as it reflects stability, patience and dignity. These are pretty much the characteristics of our Gail as she is naturally calm and patient when teaching, and is very happy to pass down her experiences and skills to the newbies. Nothing is too much trouble for her in terms of teaching and giving guidance.
Welcome to the family
Gail started with Tecsew on the 10th of April 2006 as a trainee machinist. Before coming to this role, she was working in a betting shop as a cashier so she did not have any experience as such. She has come so far and is now one of our most experienced and skilled machinists with a sharp eye for detail with scissors to match!
Witness Gail in action in the video below!
Like wine, you get better with time**
As well as developing her Tecsew career, in the last year or so, Gail has taken on the responsibility of training new machinists coming into the business. She has done a sterling job training her protégés and passing on her pearls of wisdom.
We are very proud of Gail and her dedication to teaching the new machinists the tricks of the trade, as well as having to do her own job as a Senior machinist here at #TeamTecsew. Here’s to another 14!
