Our Latest Testimonial is from Essex!
We were approached by Mr Noonan whose boat is based in Essex. Quite a distance away from Gosport, but we love a challenge! Mr and Mrs Noonan would like a Bimini and Bimini enclosure utilising their existing Sprayhood. They have obviously been browsing the gallery on www.tecsew.com.
We took the opportunity to redesign a completely new Bimini rather than use a pre existing design we had on file using 3D CAD for the whole process.

“With two poor summers in a row, my wife was keen to get a Cockpit Canopy; however, as we are nearing retirement with plans of some extended sailing, I felt a Bimini was what we needed. I then thought that maybe there was a solution that could provide both. I couldn’t find any such solution with companies I knew of, but finally found Tecsew’s website.
I was very apprehensive when ordering, because my boat was on the east coast some distance away from Tecsew. They said that without visiting my boat, they would make everything except the last panels that connected it all to the existing Sprayhood (made by a different company), which they would measure when they fitted all the rest. Even more worrying was that this was the first Bimini and conversion they had made for a Beneteau Oceanis 411.
I was also a bit naughty; I had said I wanted it finished in time for our holiday but gave a date three weeks in advance, knowing what the boating industry was like. This didn’t apply to Tecsew though. Having said they could manage that date, they then improved on it by a whole month.
I was emailed a few days after ordering, with 3D model pictures of how it would look, for my approval, so presumably they had access to Beneteau’s detailed electronic drawings. It looked great, so I gave the go ahead.
On the day they went to fit it all, I arrived at lunch time, to find them waiting for me, as they had already finished and taken the final measurements to seal it to the Sprayhood. To my amazement, everything fitted perfectly first time, and the quality of the design, engineering, manufacturing and attention to detail was immediately apparent.
They took my Sprayhood away, to install the necessary zips and a week later they were back and completed the project in an hour with everything again fitting perfectly first time.
The two guys’, who fitted it, then gave me a demonstration of how it should be packed away and deployed and their customer skills were exemplary as well. Well done Tecsew, I will recommend you to everyone who admires our new Bimini and Conversion.”
